Sanctioned
by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA), all cowboys
must be full-time working cowboys from ranches with at
least 300 head of cattle.
Events include:
wild cow milking, bronc riding, team doctoring, team branding,
and team penning.
Also featured:
a bedroll race, a vegetarian vs beef-eater footrace, and businessman's
calf dressing.
At 9:00 a.m.,
there will be a ranch horse competition, sanctioned by the
Ranch Horse of America Association, featuring Cowboy Class,
Junior Horse Class, and Senior Horse Class.
Proceeds go
toward Sul Ross State University rodeo and agriculture scholarships.
