What
to expect from your visit to the Holland Hotel in Alpine, Texas
People tell
us we do things a little differently in Alpine, Texas.
We know. That's
why we're here.

First off, you
should make a reservation.
When you get
here, you can park on the street in front of the hotel. There
are no parking meters. If there's no room on the street, there's
a parking lot right beside the hotel.

When you come
into the lobby to the front desk, you'll notice right away that
we don't have a front desk. In fact, there's no one there to
make you fill out a registration form and check your credit card
before handing you your room key.
Instead, turn
around and look back at the front door. There's an envelope taped
to the door with your name on it. Inside, you'll find a letter
describing where your room is, along with assorted other details
of life at the Holland Hotel.
There's no key
in the envelope because your room isn't locked. We do have a
key up in your room, so you can lock up your stuff when you go
out.

There's an elevator,
by the way, instead of a bellman, so you can easily bring up
your luggage and keep the tip, with our compliments.

We provide complimentary
earplugs for our guests, in case a train sneaks into town while
you're trying to sleep.
We hope you'll
stop in and have lunch with us. Almost everybody in Alpine does,
so you'll get an overview of the town with your meal. The food
is excellent because we eat here, too.

If you want
to pay or change your arrangements in any way, just stop by the
office, on the right as you enter the hotel lobby, between 8:00
am and 5:00 pm.
