Why
do we keep saying that the Holland Hotel is in Alpine, Texas?
Several reasons.
For one, we're proud to be in Alpine, Texas.
Secondly, there's
another Holland Hotel that is not in Alpine, Texas. It's in the
Netherlands, which is the extreme eastern edge of Texas on the
other side of the eastern portion of the Gulf of Mexico sometimes
referred to as the Atlantic Ocean.
We don't want
anyone to show up at the Holland Hotel in Holland, expecting to
find our delicious Texas cooking and our highly stylish and personalized
rooms as found only at the one true excellently historical Holland
Hotel.
Similarly, we
don't want any irate Dutchmen, Dutchwomen, or Dutchkids frantically
searching the envelopes taped to our front door, looking in vain
for their room number.

We believe that
if you're looking for vistas of tulips, dikes, and windmills, you
should come to our Holland Hotel, in Alpine, Texas, and we think
you'll change your mind. This might be a good time to mention that
Alpine, Texas, has not been inundated by ocean floodwaters for
thousands of years.

Conversely (or
almost so), if you're looking for the gateway to Old Mexico, mountain
vistas, art galleries, antique boutiques, and the hospitality of
small town Texas, you should come to our Holland Hotel in Alpine,
Texas.
